Tony CruzRegistered Physiotherapist

About Tony (BSc. Kin, MPT)

I discovered physiotherapy after getting injured while playing sports. That first injury taught me how life-changing it is to have a therapist who truly listens, understands your fears, and treats you as an individual. Over the years, I’ve faced other injuries and found myself looking for someone who could offer that same level of care and empathy. I know what it’s like to feel limited by pain and to worry about how it might affect your life. These experiences shaped my approach as a physiotherapist—I strive to provide the understanding and personalized care I know makes all the difference.

In 2011, I moved to Canada from Latin America to follow my dream of becoming a physiotherapist.

I have years of experience working in both in-home care and clinic-based settings. I can help with managing pain, creating personalized strengthening plans, and guiding recovery for people at all stages of life. My approach focuses on understanding each person’s unique needs and creating a safe, supportive space where they feel empowered to reach their health goals. I speak both English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with a diverse group of clients.

Why Home Care?

I practice in-home physiotherapy because it allows me to connect more deeply with my clients—not just as patients, but as individuals with rich lives and histories. I value the moments when we exchange stories, share recipes, and discuss their experiences. This personal connection also helps put their families at ease, as I prioritize open communication and collaboration. By bringing care directly to their homes, I aim to bridge the gaps in public healthcare, providing personalized, compassionate support where it’s most needed.
