CVAP Funded Counselling

Overview

We are pleased to announce that our counselling practice accepts funding from the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). This program, administered by the Government of British Columbia, provides financial support to victims of crime to help cover the costs of essential services such as counselling.

What is CVAP?

The Crime Victim Assistance Program offers financial assistance to victims, immediate family members, and witnesses of violent crime in British Columbia. The program aims to aid in their recovery by providing funding for various services, including counselling, medical expenses, and protective measures.

Eligibility for CVAP

To be eligible for CVAP funding, you must be a victim, immediate family member, or witness of a violent crime that occurred in British Columbia. Applications must be submitted within one year of the crime, although exceptions may apply. You will need to apply through the CVAP program and can learn more about the process here.
